Asphalt sprinkler means a tank-type special-purpose vehicle equipped with heat preservation container, asphalt pump, heater and spraying system for spraying asphalt; it can also be defined as a kind of road construction machinery spraying hot asphalt, emulsified asphalt, residual asphalt, and other liquid asphalt; it can be widely used in the construction of highways, city roads, airports, ports, terminals and reservoirs, etc.; large-capacity asphalt sprinklers can also be used as asphalt carrier, which is mainly used for surface treatment of penetration method, permeable layer, adhesive layer, mixing and stabilisation of asphalt and other construction and maintenance projects. Mainly used for asphalt penetration method of surface treatment, permeable layer, adhesive layer, mixture mixing, asphalt stabilised soil and other construction and maintenance works.
Asphalt sprinkler belongs to both road construction machinery (asphalt sprinkler) and special-purpose vehicle category (asphalt sprinkler), so the manufacturer must obtain special-purpose vehicle production qualification. Its design, in addition to meet the GB 1589-2004, GB 7258-2012 and other automotive standards, should also meet its special standards JT/T 276-2004 'asphalt sprinkler / machine'.
The design purpose of asphalt sprinkler is to evenly spread liquid asphalt on the road surface according to the pre-determined spreading volume. In the design, the main parameters are first determined, including asphalt tank capacity, maximum sprinkling width, maximum and minimum sprinkling volume, asphalt tank static insulation performance, etc., and then determine the structure and specifications of each up-loading component.
(1) Asphalt tank capacity: should be based on the use of asphalt sprinkler and the chassis of the maximum load mass to be considered comprehensively.
(2) asphalt tank static insulation performance: hot asphalt in the tank (amount > 80%) in the outside temperature of 12 ~ 15 ºC, 8h temperature drop ≤ 20 ºC. Heating system on the tank, whether it is a fire tube, thermal oil, electric heating must have automatic control. When the amount of asphalt in the tank reaches 80%, the temperature rise in the small cycle state ≥ 10 ºC / h, the temperature reaches the set temperature automatically cut off the heating. Design should also pay attention to the control of heating temperature to prevent rapid aging of local asphalt.
(3) asphalt pump flow (Q): by the sprinkling width, sprinkling volume and sprinkling speed, that is: Q = qvl/1000, m ³ / s. Where: q, the maximum amount of sprinkling (quota), L / m ²; v, sprinkling when the travelling speed, m / s; l, sprinkling width, m.
